Even though I started blogging many years ago, I have not been able to do it in an organized way. One main problem is that I started a blog and then found out that there are other “better” ways of blogging, so here I am starting again. One thing I’ll do is to bring to this site previous writings so I can keep a log of these ideas in one single place. The other thing I will try to do is to link all these blogs so it would be possible to have a whole picture of my interests and teaching.
One blog that is particularly important for my work is http://stewardshipfordummies.blogspot.com, where I post about environmental stewardship.
Since 2004, I have transitioned to Emeritus Professor of Physical Science after more than 26 years as a full-time teaching professor. With friends, we founded the STEAM Hub 4 CISS, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping pre-college and college students find a pathway to a prosperous and meaningful life by providing a safe space after school. Peer mentors, life coaches, and tutors are available to help students. The best image one can have is of a maker’s space or a creator’s space with tables hosting different equipment for a diverse set of disciplines, plus tables with games like chess, ping pong, to have fun a learn strategic skills, and art supplies like easels, paints, and musical instruments like guitars and pianos.
This blog needs more followers, it’s good
